Allow us to indulge in our graphic design nerdom for a moment. Adrian Shaughnessy from Unit Editions can do no wrong by us. He's been able to satiate our obsession with Wim Crouwel's work by publishing not one but two books. After realizing that Crouwel's Mode en Module and Total Design books were near impossible to acquire, Unit Editions released TD 63-73 and Wim Crouwel: A Graphic Odyssey - Catalogue. Shaughnessy has done it again, with Herb Lubalin, another design hero of ours. A typographer and hand lettering master whose works from the 1950's to the 1980's are as relevant today as they were then. The Lubalin edition will be limited and cloaked in a 3/4 paper wrapper with foiled typography. Coming in at 448 pages, this will be the most comprehensive title ever published on the legendary designer. Pre-order yours today. Thanks Bobby for the heads up.
