The first game between Indiana and Orlando wasn't exactly pretty: The defining moment of the game was probably Chris Duhon enthusiastically dancing to a traveling charge in the background, which pretty much tells you everything you could possibly ever want to know about it. A Magic team without Dwight Howard turned to Jameer Nelson, Jason Richardson and Glen Davis to gut out an 81-77 win.
The bad news is that Indiana lost a game everyone assumed they would win. But the good news for Indiana is that in a game where Orlando's role players produced, and more or less everyone on Indiana played poorly, they still managed to remain close and only lose by four. Danny Granger's 17 points is around par for him, but it came on an inefficient 20 shots. Outside of David West, pretty much every Pacer played poorly. The Magic seemed demoralized by the entire Dwight Howard situation down the stretch, but Indiana will not want to go down 0-2.
